Ms. Lisa
Hi Young Artists-
My name is Ms. Lisa and I love to make art -- just like you!
I am very passionate for all things art, from drawing to painting to photography. I currently teach art at a local high school and get inspired by young artists each and every day. I love teaching using different materials and techniques. I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog Hazel, who loves to play catch.
Meet our Instructor Mr. Gene
Gene Kim is a storyboard artist, animator and creator. He started out his career at Pixar Animation Studios and Disney's Blue Sky Studios as a CG artist and later became a storyboard artist on shows for Netflix, Amazon Studios and other platforms. His own original animated work has played around the world and been featured in Forbes, The Korea Times, Toon Boom Animation and more.
Tina is an artist and educator who earned her BFA in Fine Art, from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She has lived and worked in Philadelphia and New York City, creating vibrant children’s murals, freelancing scenic backgrounds for the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and designing window displays for Saks Fifth Avenue and Anthropologie. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches preschool art classes, nurturing creativity in young learners. Deeply inspired by New York’s cultural landscape, Tina is especially drawn to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and all things Met, and she fondly misses her days living on the Upper East Side. Her work is rooted in a love of florals, blending softness, color, and expressive detail into her work.

Ms. Rachel
Hello young artists! I have a background is in teaching and advocating for children with a broad range of strengths and challenges. I have been an artist since childhood, studied at Rutgers and the School of Visual Arts, and have been an educator for over fifteen years. I am currently also pursuing professional registration as a horticultural therapist. I am so excited to be combining these worlds that I love -- nature, art, and teaching -- into classes for young artists!
I am also Mama to a five-year-old ball of energy who will stay in one place juuust long enough to draw a few deep sea creatures, and an eight-year-old who loves Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture and stays up far too late reading in bed. I’m sure you will meet them at the studio, if you haven’t already!

Hello stitchers! I am a self-taught embroidery artist with a love of color, texture and mixing patterns. I attended Tyler School of Art at Temple University for graphic and interactive design and have been practicing graphic design for the past 16 years. Embroidery allows me to get up from my computer and create something tangible, tactile and even wearable!
When I’m not pursuing art, I spend my time with my husband, daughter and son out in our garden, taking care of our chickens and enjoying the great outdoors.

Ms. Sarah
A long time ago, I decided I wanted to be an artist and pursued my dreams by going to art school to learn all that I could about art. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts and a Master of Fine Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts. I always wanted to open my own studio to share my love of the arts with artists of all ages. I am a cancer survivor and after finishing treatment, decided that life is too short to not do what I love. I opened the studio with the love and support of my family and could not be happier. When I am not at the studio, I love going on adventures with my husband and boys. I enjoy painting, gardening, yoga, reading, and being outdoors.
