Anime (Ages 8 and up)

Learn to draw anime! In this class, we'll dive into drawing techniques, cultural insights and more as we get lost in exploring how to draw in the anime/manga/webtoon style.

Every Teen class at The Hummingbird Studio focuses on the interests of each individual student. Together, we will discuss and formulate a plan to create meaningful and unique projects that each student works on independently and at their own pace. Join us anytime!

Thread Heads (Ages 10-Adult)
With Ms. Kate
This four session class will introduce you to embroidery using fundamental stitches on a wearable item such as a shirt, hat, or scarf. Cotton, linen, denim, canvas or wool are all good materials to choose (avoid stretchy fabric). Please bring an item you would like to embellish with stitches, appliqué and/or beadwork and we will work together to create your own unique piece of wearable art.

One Day Embroidery Class

Embroidering Knitwear:
Learn to embellish knitted clothing and accessories with yarn to make a one of a kind, statement piece. Sweaters, hats, scarves, holiday stockings, or even blankets are all customizable using simple embroidery stitches. (All materials except piece of knitwear provided, please bring a knit item to embellish)

The Cozy Hooks (Ages 10-12)
With Ms. Christine
Join Ms. Christine for 3 Classes to create crochet projects. Amigurumi is a Japanese form of crochet used to make stuffed yarn creatures and you will learn the ins and outs of this fun method!
We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at The Hummingbird Studio. When joining for a single class, you may miss the beginning or ending of a project, please keep this in mind when registering.
